Meatballs in Tomatoe Sauce

I am all about quick and easy meals that taste delicious and full of nutrients. Mmmmmm....

Today is a quick and easy recipe on making some nice meatballs.

If I would do anything differently, I would soak the meatballs in a warm water with a knor cube for 15mins just so the ingredients penetrate.

I will try this next time.

What you will need:

  • Meatballs (I bought mine from Aldi).

  • Tomatoe cans x 2

  • Mixed peppers

  • Medium sized red onion

  • Spring onion- handlful

  • Scotch bonnet pepper (optional)

  • Mushrooms - (optional)

  • Knorr x 2 (you can use more if its not enough)

  • Black pepper - half a teaspoon

  • Raspeed oil (you can use any oil you have )

  • Ginger (half a thumpnail

How to cook:

  • Place meatballs in oven to roast for 15mins if you want that BBQ taste smoky flavour and to reduce the oil.

  • Chop the onions, mixed peppers, scotch bonnet pepper, mushrooms.

  • Place a large deep frying pan over a medium heat.

  • Add half a tea spoon of oil or two squirts around the pan.

  • Add chopped ingredients into the pan.

  • Stir, saute for 5mins and add knorr for taste with black pepper and additional condiments.

  • Add two cans of tomatoe sauce to simmer for 10mins.

  • Add meatballs to simmer and cook for another 8-10mins and regularly check this.

Voila food is ready!

Serve sauce with a variety of main such as rice, pasta etc.
